A Pocatello man is behind bars after allegedly threatening his mother with a kitchen knife.
Pocatello Police say 29-year-old Sean Patrick McKinney was at his mother's home on Wayne Street when the two began arguing.
McKinney then threatened his mother with a knife and also trashed the home. He then left in his mother's car.
Officers caught up to McKinney at his home on McKinley where they attempted to arrest him on an aggravated assault charge.
McKinney became combative and assaulted the officers, pushing one into a TV.
Officers were able to eventually subdue McKinney and he was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, assault upon an officer, resisting and obstructing, disturbing the peace, malicious injury to property, and driving without owner consent.
