The 10th annual Portneuf Valley Environmental Fair 2014 will be held Saturday, April 19th from 11-3 pm at Optimist Park.
Free admission, food crafts, live music and activities. There will also be a recycled Art Sculpture Contest, recycled fashion show and a Care for the Earth Costume Parade at noon. Cash prizes and gift certificates will be awarded to winners.
Hannah Sanger, Environmental Fair Committee Chair, says it’s a great way to celebrate Pocatello and kick off the season.
"This fair celebrates Pocatello. It celebrates the Portneuf Valley, the place we call home and it's an opportunity for everybody in Pocatello to go out and learn a little bit more about our local environment and small steps you can take at home to improve our local environment, learn about local trails and wildlife, solar energy and then just celebrate spring and summer,” says Hannah.
There will be bike valet and the city bus is free to ride to and from the event.
