They can be found all through the beautiful city of Pocatello. I’m talking about potholes and other street imperfections. So what is the streets department of the city of Pocatello doing to remedy the problem? I went down to find out.

Street Superintendent Robert Ghezzi responded by saying, “What we do is we go out and we respond to requests for potholes, we look at the streets once they melt off, we get out and we can review our streets.”

Robert went on to tell me that it takes at least 65 degree temperatures in order to repair potholes and other road imperfections using the current methods.

The Pocatello Streets Department is actively maintaining the roads here in Pocatello. But how can we the citizens know what projects are taking place currently, and what projects are planned for the future?

“We try to update weekly where we going to be, usually every Friday morning they can look at the website and see what we’re doing for the next week so they can plan their trips accordingly.” Ghezzi said.

The website for the Streets Department will be available at kpvi.com. For immediate questions or to report a pothole call 234-6250.
