A power outage is affecting roughly 14,000 people in communities of Rexburg, St. Anthony, Ashton, Teton and Sugar City.
Officials with Rocky Mountain Power estimate that power should be restored by sometime before noon Monday.
Madison and Fremont School Districts will be closed Monday because of the outage. Brigham Young University-Idaho has postponed the start of classes until 10:15 am. The university is also allowing students to campus if they need a warm shelter.
Officials say the outage was caused by a transmission interuption.
