"When I built the first one for myself, it was just that, I built it for myself. I never envisioned it would go as far as it has," said Doug Tolbert.
Over the years Tolbert has built around 55 of these custom RVs that have been shown on national television shows over the years.
He designs and builds outside of the box which can be seen in his more conservatively priced truck campers all the way up to his fancy custom designed RV's.
His designs guarantee you are never leaving the house without exactly what you need.
"So we can do things other RV's can't. I'm towing a trailer that weighs 28,000 pounds behind me that has all the things we are blessed to have in Idaho," explains Tolbert.
As the public sits and watches in awe over his luxury powerhouses, Tolbert stresses this isn't just for the wealthy.
"It doesn't have to be the millionaires that have nice stuff. We can build something in a conservative way that most anyone can afford," said Tolbert.
Tolbert definitely wears a lot of hats and is now in the middle of his most elaborate RV project yet while filming for the Travel Channel's show Extreme RV.
This has been a unique experience because the show has been documenting the entire building process from the start until it is finished.
"It's a 48-foot two story coach that basically in the back of the rig holds an electric BMW SUV underneath the loft bedroom above. It has four slide out rooms. It's pretty elaborate."
Tolbert calls Extreme RV the ultimate in RV shows, but still entertains the idea of gaining more national attention in the future.
"Maybe someday we'll land a series. I think the issue is I don't have enough tattoos and maybe don't cuss enough to end up on a reality TV show, but we certainly enjoy showing what we do."
