Their mission is to offer Life-Affirming options to pregnancy and quality care to those who face abortion-related issues.
“We really want to reach out in our community and be here for these girls that are so scared and don’t know where to turn and they feel like they don’t have any where to go so we want to be here for them to help them through a very scary situation,” said Janet Wright, Executive Director for CHPC.Talking about the bill with Janet, she didn’t know the details of the situation, but she said that she can only focus on what this center offers.
“We do not refer to abortions because we believe each life is special even starting in the womb and so because each life is special we are not going to talk them out of it what we want to do is just give them information and opinions that are workable,” added Wright.
The center offers education on STD’S, support for past abortions, counseling with Peer coaches, parenting programs, life skills and information on numerous things. Participants can also earn baby bucks which they can take and buy necessary items for a great deal. They offer new and used things ranging from toys, strollers, baby food and shoes, to clothes. She goes on to say that they give resources that are necessary to make the best choice for mom and baby.
“Each girl or woman has the right to make a decision, her own decision about what she wants to do in regards to her pregnancy, but we want to giver her the information to be able to make that decision well and know what she is going to do,” said Wright.
She also encourages anyone not to hesitate if they have questions or need a little help to find out their hours and to stop by anytime. All their services are free and confidential.
