More and more people are joining in on supporting good causes, for example cancer.
You can see professional football players wearing pink in support of cancer as well as local businesses.
One local business has been supporting cancer for years, but when the cause becomes more personal, there’s always more passion behind it.
That’s exactly what happened to Amy Hanson the owner of The Defining Line Salon in Idaho Falls.
Now she’s doing everything in her power to raise awareness for pancreatic cancer.
“My husband and I lost a really good friend to that cancer and watching him spiral downward with that disease, it was something that really impacted me and really hit home” said Hanson.
Amy has always helped raise money for cancer, but this year her goal is to help raise awareness for pancreatic cancer. To do so she’s created packages people can purchase at The Defining Line Salon.
“It definitely changes things when you have a personal story that fuels your passion behind a cause or something you want to get behind and believe in, the hope changes” continued Hanson.
Not only are there packages, there’s also a luncheon on November 3rd at the restaurants at Eagle Rock Station, in front of the
greenbelt.
“It feels like, just in our little way, in our tiny salon in our little community, that we’re making a difference and we’re making an impact and so it’s exciting” said Hanson.
