The Bonneville County Sheriff's Office is investigating a reported shooting which happened Wednesday night.

Sgt. Jeff Edwards says deputies were called to a home in the 5500 block of Foothill Road just before 7:30 p.m.

When deputies arrived, they found a female victim on the floor complaining of a gunshot wound to the leg.

Sgt. Edwards says the shooting may be related to an earlier incident in which Neal Hope, 55, drove his Chevrolet truck towards another car occupied by Brady Belliston and his family.  Belliston says Hope was driving at a high rate of speed when he swerved at the very last moment.

Deputies say Neal showed up at the home on Foothill Road as they were attending to the woman who was reportedly shot in the leg.

Neal was taken into custody for the previous aggravated assault.

The shooting remains under investigation.
