Sunday morning the Chubbuck Police Department started investigating a stabbing at the Pineridge Apartments. Jacob Schmidt, 22, was named as a person of interest. Tuesday night Chubbuck Police announced Schmidt was taken into custody around 7 PM in Bingham County on an outstanding felony eluding warrant.

It all started early Sunday morning. A spokesperson for the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes let local media know that Glenda Dixey was stabbed in the left thigh. The stabbing victim then drove herself to a family members home in Fort Hall. She later got treatment at Portneuf Medical Center.

Police started looking for Schmidt. He led officers on a pursuit and abandoned his vehicle in the Ross Fork District.
