21-year-old Zack Davis was taken into custody early Tuesday morning after being served multiple warrants by US Marshalls in Chubbuck.

Lieutenant Paul Manning says officers with the Pocatello Police Department were called to the Motel 6 in Chubbuck to assist US Marshalls in serving two warrants on Davis.

Officers located Davis in one of the rooms along with 31-year-old Rachel Slaughter and small children. Davis was taken into custody on the warrants. Slaughter was charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, felony possession of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor injury to a child and taken into custody by Chubbuck Police.

Both Davis and Slaughter were booked into the Bannock County Jail.

Davis is suspected in the theft of a firearm from Big D’s Gun Shop late last month.
