An Idaho Falls man is in custody after police say he threatened another man with a baseball bat.
Officers with the Idaho Falls Police Department were called to the 1000 block of Canyon Avenue after reports of a disturbance around 7 pm Tuesday.
Police say the victim’s ex-girlfriend, 20-year-old Dontie Shaw, and 22-year-old Austin Hayes went to the victim’s house. The victim and Shaw began arguing over custody of their child.
Hayes then ran up to the house holding a baseball bat. He then began swinging it and making threats to the victim.
Officers arrested Hayes for aggravated assault and booked him into the Bonneville County Jail.
Shaw was cited for disturbing the peace.
