The Internet video service Netflix announced that it will soon be raising its monthly subscription prices.
Netflix said it will hike prices sometime before July by one-or-two dollars a month for new customers only. Existing subscribers will continue to pay the current fee of eight bucks a month for at least the next year. Netflix said the price hike is needed to maintain the quality of original series such as "House of Cards." It'll be the first fee increase in three years. Netflix currently has 36-million subscribers.
