The Senate is taking up a bill that would allow states to collect sales taxes for online purchases. Under current law, states can only require stores to collect sales taxes if the store has a physical presence in the state. As a result, many online sales are essentially tax-free, giving Internet retailers a big advantage over brick-and-mortar stores. The Senate has scheduled a procedural vote Monday on the bill. If the vote is successful, the Senate could pass the bill as early as this week. Supporters say the bill is about fairness for businesses and lost revenue for states. Opponents say it would impose complicated regulations on retailers and doesn't have enough protections for small businesses. Businesses with less than $1 million a year in online sales would be exempt.

"60 Minutes" and "48 Hours." It added up to one big headache for CBS -- when someone got control of the Twitter sites for two of its national programs. A spokesman for CBS News is confirming tweets sent earlier from the two shows' handles saying that the accounts had been compromised. Both the accounts were suspended. Earlier in the day tweets from the 60 Minutes account seemed farfetched -- such as one that claimed the U.S. government was "hiding the real culprit of the Boston bombing."

Daft Punk has set a record on Spotify -- breaking one that wasn't set all that long ago. The music service says that on Friday, "Get Lucky," featuring a musical assist from Farrell, had the biggest streaming day for a single track in the U.S. The previous record was set by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Thrift Shop," a single released in 2012.
