Reddit
co-founder who committed suicide blames prosecutors for his death. Aaron Swartz hanged himself in his Brooklyn apartment Friday night. The 26-year-old had fought to make online content free to the public. As a teenager helped create RSS. In 2011, he was charged with stealing millions of scientific journals from a computer archive at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in an attempt to make them freely available. He had pleaded not guilty, and his federal trial was to begin next month. If convicted, he faced decades in prison. Swartz's family in Chicago says "Aaron's death is not simply a personal tragedy. It is the product of a criminal justice system rife with intimidation and prosecutorial overreach."
Oracle
says it's "aware of a flaw in Java software integrated with web browsers and says "a fix will be available shortly." The Department of Homeland Security has advised people to temporarily disable the Java software on their computers to avoid potential hacking attacks. Oracle says the glitch is only in the JDK7 version of the software. The company adds the problem doesn't "affect Java applications directly installed and running on servers, desktops, laptops and other devices.'
Apple
shares fell in premarket trading after The Wall Street Journal reported that the company has cut its orders for iPhone 5 components due to weaker-than-expected demand. The newspaper says that two people it did not identify by name told it that Apple's first quarter orders for iPhone 5 screens have dropped to about half of what the company had previously planned to order. It says one of the sources told the newspaper that the Cupertino company has also cut orders for components other than screens. The Journal says it was told Apple notified the suppliers of the order cut last month.

Gotta say I'm pretty impressed with the new Corvette Stingray. It's the first Vette I wouldn't be embarrassed to drive.
