A new pumpkin patch opened in Chubbuck, The Golden Pumkpin Patch is located off of Hawthorne and has about 20 different varieties of pumpkins.

The pumpkins start at about $2.00 and go up from there depending on the size, rather than weight. One of the biggest stars of this patch is the pink pumpkins that they are selling in support of breast cancer awareness. $0.25  from the sale of each of the light pink pumpkin, called the Porcelain Doll, will be donated to breast cancer research. Along with picking out the perfect pumpkin, there is a hay bale maze and activities for the whole family.

“Jeff and I always, in the fall, like to go visiting pumpkin patches and I think we always wanted to do this. Kind of for the community, we knew Pocatello didn’t have one, and what says fall better than a pumpkin! And we wanted something that we could also do as a family,” said Hayley Lowry, who owns and operates the pumpkin patch with her husband Jeff.
