Naghmeh Abedini says her husband, Boise pastor Saeed Abedini, was sentenced to solitary confinement for his Christian beliefs.

She says he's one of 10 prisoners who will be there for 20 days.

Abedini says her husband has been beaten and has internal bleeding and she's afraid he won't survive.

"It's been very emotional the last few days for me. I can't imagine even spending one day, even 24 hours in this dark hole where you don't know if it's morning or if it's night the emotional, mental psychological abuse. I don't know if he is going to survive that, I can't get across the urgency of this matter for us to speak out and act on his behalf."

Abedini says she believes awareness of her husband's situation will help free him.
