Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Bust

Idaho State Police found six pounds of marijuana after a traffic stop on Interstate 86.

Around 2:40 Tuesday afternoon, troopers pulled over a 2007 Chrysler Town and Country van, near American Falls for a traffic violation. During the stop, troopers found six pounds of suspected marijuana.

The driver, 26-year-old Michael Torgerson of from Leeds, North Dakota, was booked in the Power County Jail where he is being charged with trafficking a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
