Truck driving is not bad at all. In fact it is a pretty good job. BUT.....ONLY you know what you are getting into and like what that is. In other words, if you ask questions to find out what it is like to be a real trucker and you decide that you are compatible for the lifestyle and you are ok with what it means, you will love truck driving. Don't listen to people who only speak negatively of it and say that it is a bad job/career. That depends on the individual. It is absolutely the dumbest thing for some people to do. For other people it is perfect. If you are married dealing with trust issues because of cheating for instance, you definitely should consider a different type of job. If you are single or have an excellent relationship with an independent open minded women who gives you blessing to drive and you two understand the importance of communication and nurturing the relationship, you could be happy just like many truckers are. You also need to know things like, you will only get paid $25,000 to $35,000 the first year. Rarely more. The School may be great...the INDUSTRY is not. You will be away from home usually 14 days and Home 2 days....Ur take home pay AFTER TAXES AND food expenses....will be maybe 400-600 per week.....after you have driven for a year or two. Really not all that great. Your New Home is a tin box on wheels. The market is being Flooded with mexican laborers....with and without a Real Drivers License.....it is pretty much a Joke and gettingmuch worse with the new CSA police programs to rip you off for the rest of your pay check....You Will be getting a divorce..ur wife willNot stand for all this traveling...Not much Upside to this type of a job...except if you are a Loner or just pain weird.....stay home like normal people...builda REAL LIFE..forget this Fantasy.....
