A pilot instructor and student were uninjured when their plane crashed at the City of Rigby Airport Friday morning.

According to Rigby Police Public Information Officer Carol Shackelford, Pilot Instructor Dale Cresap, 58, and student Gary Lee, 66, were practicing touch-and-go maneuvers when a wind gust caused their plane to lose directional control.

The aircraft, a Rans S6 clipped two airplane hangers before crashing into the airport's west fence.

The crash was visible from U.S. Highway 20.

The Federal Aviation Administration has been contacted and will take over the investigation.
