UPDATE: Bingham County Sheriff Craig Rowland says the Bingham County Courthouse is back open after a possible natural gas leak this morning.

The Bingham County Courthouse has been evacuated because of a possible natural gas leak.

Bingham County Sheriff Craig Rowland says the odor was noticed around 8:25 this morning and an evacuation was started. Currently, the jail has not been evacuated because there is no odor of gas there.

Rowland also says that all emergency calls have been routed to the Bannock County Sheriff’s Office, who will then relay the calls to responders in Bingham County.

Currently, there is no time table as to when the courthouse will reopen.
