Western States Equipment Company announced plans Tuesday to build a new, larger facility on the south edge of Pocatello.

The new location will be on South 5th near the Interstate 15 on-ramp and includes about 100,000 square feet of buildings on 28 acres.

The new facility will require more than $15 million of investment and features an expanded service area, parts department and equipment display lot.

"Our new dealership will enable us to better serve our current customers and accommodate new clients," said Tom Terteling, COO of Western States Equipment Company. "Providing quality services and equipment is our main focus and the new building will facilitate an increase in our ability to deliver to our clientele," Terteling said.

With the new facility comes the addition of new jobs. Western States will be looking to hire about 10 employees once the facility opens. That would expand its current workforce to nearly 115 .
The company searched throughout southeast Idaho for a new location and elected to stay in Bannock County.

"We are committed to stay and grow in Pocatello and we found Bannock County, the City of Pocatello and Bannock Development very supportive of our expansion," said Terteling.
