It’s no surprise that many pet adoption centers throughout the nation and east Idaho are having a hard time keeping up with all the animals they have; as well as finding those animals a new home. That’s why 4 Paws Pet Adoption in Rexburg is thrilled about the chance they have to receive a $2,000 grant.
It’s not every day you get money for telling a story, but after an Idaho Falls resident came across the animalrescuesite.com; she decided to submit her cat Vincent’s story for a chance to help a rescue organization of her choice receive money.
“So I got my story ready and I submitted it and I picked 4 Paws because they do wonderful work up there and I just try to help different rescue organizations and this is what I figured I could do for them if I even made the top ten; so when I made the top ten I was just thrilled about that” said Ilene Davis.
Now Ilene has until December 16th to compete with 9 others for the chance to win $2000.
Being able to tell the story of her cat Vincent has brought her a lot of joy throughout this competition.
“The fact that he went from a feral that I couldn’t even get near to a loving cat that just loves to get on my lap; he likes to put his arms up around my neck and just give me head bumps and just he’s just the most loving cat now” continued Ilene.
Ilene’s story is called Feral to Fabulous.
4 Paws Pet Adoption says if they win they plan on putting the money towards food, water, vaccines and other medical expenses.
