Social media can be used for much more than staying in contact with long lost friends and relatives, many are hoping their online connections will help with job connections.

To help workers and employers connect online, The Idaho Department of Labor will offer two free seminars in Idaho Falls called "Working Social."

The seminars will take place wednesday with the morning session being dedicated to businesses and the after focussing on job seekers.

Organizers say as the workplace continues to evolve, job seekers must do the same.
"there is a growing number of individuals who are using websites like linkedin and facebook to go out and market themselves to companies," said Regional Economist Dan Cravens. "You need to be savy and you need to be flexible with the technology to be competitive in what is still a rather tight labor market."

The seminars are free but there is limited seating, to reserve your seat click here.
