An Idaho falls man who makes interactive pajamas, found a way to market possibly expose his innovative idea to a much larger market. Wal-Mart’s get on the shelf competition caught his eye, when he was watching KPVI.
Juan Murdoch, CEO of Smart Pajamas explains how he decided to join this compeition, "I was watching your TV station and i saw there was a report on this Wal- Mart get on the shelf competition and when i saw it i just thought wow that would be a perfect forum for Smart PJ's"
Get on the shelf is a program that gives u-s-based small businesses, entrepreneurs, or individual inventors a shot at getting their products on Wal-Mart’s store shelves. Murdoch submitted his interactive pajamas, which have sewed in qr type codes that, with the help of a free app, bring up bedtime stories for your children when you take a picture with your tablet or smart phone.
The “smart pj’s have been for sale since December, and Murdoch says that he has received excellent feedback on his innovative product.
He explained that, "I get the same reaction from everybody that sees them, that they are excited about them and they love them they are perfect for kids, for gifts for birthdays and things like that."
Murdoch has great ambition for the smart PJ's:
"There are so many kids in the world and I’d like to put a pair of smart pjs on every kid in the world," Murdoch said."
