Danish Puff Dessert Recipe

Danish Puff

[Crust]           
½ cup butter           
1 cup flour            
2 Tbsp water

[Topping]
½ cup butter
1 cup water
1 cup flour
½ tsp. almond extract
3 eggs

[Frosting]
¼ cup of milk
¼ cup margarine
¼ cup shortening
dash of salt
1 tsp. almond extract
powder sugar (to thicken)

CRUST: melt butter and then add flour and water.  Stir until mixed well.  Divide the dough in half and spread on bottom of cookie sheet into long, flat strips.

TOPPING: melt butter, add water, flour, and flavoring. Take off heat and stir in eggs (one at a time). Mix well and spread over the crust.  Bake at 350⁰ for 40 minutes. Let cool before frosting.

FROSTING: mix all ingredients together and add powder sugar until consistency is reached.
