Father’s Day Bacon Waffles
1 package “butter recipe” yellow cake mix
1 1/4 cup buttermilk
3 large eggs
1/2 cup butter melted (and cooled)
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 pound maple bacon—cooked and diced
Combine cake mix, buttermilk, eggs, butter and maple syrup in large bowl. Add bacon and mix well. Spoon batter onto hot waffle maker (batter will be thick). Cook 4 minutes or until there is no longer any steam and waffles are lightly browned. Enjoy with syrup or fresh fruit!
