Halloween is a great time to dress up as a ghoul, zombie, or mummy, but at A.H. Bush Elementary they focused on dressing up as their favorite story book character.

Each student at Bush Elementary carried their theme books of the character they represent. The younger student were helped out by the older students walking up and down the hallway.

Many of the parents of the students were there for family support, and some even joined in and dressed up. There was a couple dressed up as the minions from the movie Despicable Me.

In this Literacy Parade many of the teachers joined in from being Cat in the Hat to Mad Hatter from Alice and Wonderland.

“Exciting to see their connection with stories and costumes and that they connect having fun and dressing up in a costume and Halloween with reading,” said Dr. Sarah Sanders, Principle of A.H. Bush Elementary.

The principal and some of the office staff dressed up together as Goldie Locks and the Three Little Bears.
