Grand Teton facilities begin closing for winter

MOOSE, Wyo. (AP) — Campgrounds and other facilities in Grand Teton National Park will be closing for the winter over the next two months.

Lizard Creek Campground already has closed for the year, starting on Labor Day.

The campgrounds at Colter Bay will close Sept. 21, followed by the campgrounds at Jenny Lake on Sept. 28, Flagg Ranch on Sept. 30 and Signal Mountain on Oct. 19.

Ranger stations and visitor stations soon to close include the Laurance Rockefeller Preserve Center on Sept. 21 and Jenny Lake Visitor Center on Sept. 23.

Elsewhere in the park, Jenny Lake Lodge is scheduled to close Oct. 5, Signal Mountain Lodge on Oct. 19 and Triangle X Ranch in mid-October.
