Two people walked away from a plane crash along a second runway at the Pocatello Regional Airport.

Fire units were called to the airport just before 12:30 p.m., Thursday, after a single engine Cessna 185 aircraft crashed while trying to land.

Lt. Paul Manning, of the Pocatello Police Department, could not say what caused the plane to crash only that the incident is under investigation.  The National Transportation Safety Board has been notified of the crash and will likely send someone to investigate.

Two people were inside the aircraft at the time of the accident and were able to escape without injury.

Since the airport has two runways, traffic at the Pocatello Regional Airport was not disrupted.

There was concern about a minor fuel leak following the crash and its potential to start a fire but that was quickly cleaned up.
