POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State Athletic Department has enhanced its partnership with Pacific Empire Radio. Starting this fall, all Idaho State football, men’s basketball games and the weekly coaches shows will be carried on 102.5 FM (KMGI) as well as continued to be broadcasted on 930 KSEI.
KMGI Classic Rock 102.5 FM has a coverage area that spans Southeast Idaho in all directions. The signal reaches to the West beyond Burley and Arco or Mackay to the Northwest. The signal continues to stretch beyond Montpelier to the East, beyond St. Anthony to the North and Malad to the South, making it one of the strongest signals in the area.
“This is an exciting time in Idaho State Athletics,” Idaho State Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations Steve Schaack said. “We are thrilled to bring Bengal football and men’s basketball games into more homes in Southeastern Idaho. We value our partnership with Pacific Empire Radio and look forward to upcoming seasons on 102.5 FM.”
KMGI is Idaho’s original rock station dating back to the 1980’s and still breathing fire courtesy of 100,000 Watts of Power high atop the vantage point of Howard.
“We at Pacific Empire Radio have enjoyed our relationship with Idaho State University for years while providing our airwaves for Bengal Sports broadcasts on KSEI AM,” said Kosta Panidis General Manager of Pacific Empire Radio. “Moving the games to 102.5 KMGI is the next logical progression to further galvanize the partnership between our two local organizations. We are very excited about the upcoming seasons and our growing relationship with I.S.U. Go Bengals!!”
Jerry Miller will broadcast all football and men’s basketball games. For football games he will be joined in the booth by Tim Lewis, the host of Idaho’s Morning News with Riverbend Communications. Brad Bugger will continue to join Miller courtside for men’s basketball games.
