Coaches from the Pac-12, Mountain West, and Big Sky will join Idaho

State coaches

Seton Sobolewski and Bill Evans for the first ever Idaho

State University Women's Basketball Coaching Clinic at Reed Gym on

September, 21.

The clinic will be free to attend and is intended for coaches at any level of

both male and female teams.

University of Utah women's Head Coach Anthony Levrets, Weber State

women's Head Coach Bethann Ord, Boise State women's assistant coach

Cody Butler and Utah State women's assistant coach Stu Sells will all

present in the day long clinic.

"This clinic is about reaching out to coaches that are at the grassroots

levels and providing a valuable resource to them," Sobolewski said. "This is

an opportunity for coaches to come together and learn from one another."

Levrets will enter his third full season as head coach at the University of

Utah. In his short tenure the Utes have been to both NCAA and WNIT

tournament. Before being named interim head coach then head coach in

2010 Levret was a Utah assistant coach for four years, he also was an

assistant for the Southern Oregon men's program.

Shapiro is in her second season as head coach at Weber State. Before

WSU she was a veteran assistant at Louisville and helped guide the team

to the 2009 NCAA championship game. She has over 20 years of coaching

experience.

Butler is in his second season as an assistant coach at Boise State prior to

his time with the Broncos he was the Head Coach at Yakima Valley

Community College where he led his team to nine-consecutive NWAACC

Tournament appearances, six tournament final fours and three-consecutive

trips to the championship game (2010-12).

Sells enters his second year on the Aggies' coaching staff. Sells joined the

college ranks after a lengthy tenure coaching high school and club

basketball. In Sells' tenure as head coach at Vallivue High School in

Caldwell, Idaho from 2004-05 to 2008-09, he amassed a 97-28 record and

led the Falcons qualifying for state in six of the seven years during his

tenure at Vallivue.

"There are going to be some great speakers from the Division I level,"

Sobolewski said. "The resumes of these mentors speak for themselves. I

know that the coaches that attend this clinic will learn something from

these great presenters that will help their teams this season."

Coaches that would like to attend can register by filling out the attached

brochure and returning it to Idaho State basketball but walk-ups will be

welcome.

There will be no charge for this clinic, there will be a midday break for

attendees to get their own lunch.

Sobolewski is grateful for everyone that made this clinic happen.

"I would like to thank Idaho State and Coach

Bill Evans, Anthony Levrets at

Utah, Bethann Ord at Weber State, Cody Butler at Boise State, and Stu

Sells at Utah State for their help in making this free clinic possible,"

Sobolewski said.
