ISU Football to Play Boise State

POCATELLO, Idaho-  The Idaho State football program has announced upcoming games for the 2014 and 2015 seasons. The Bengals will host Chadron State on September 13, 2014 and Simon Fraser on October 11 at Holt Arena. In 2015, ISU plays at Boise State on September 19.

This will be the third meeting between ISU and Boise State since 2003.  Boise State leads the overall series 24-6 with the most recent meeting being a 49-7 Boise State victory in 2008. Boise State is a former Big Sky Conference member who compiled a 202-99-2 record while in the league.

Simon Fraser is a Division II school who plays in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference with Dixie State. This is will be the first meeting between the two schools. Simon Fraser finished 3-7 in 2013.

Chadron State plays in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference where it finished the 2013 season 8-3. Idaho State leads the series 2-0, with the most recent meeting being a 52-3 Bengal victory on September 4, 1993. ISU also won 20-2 in 1949.

The Bengals have six home games once again in 2014 as ISU hosts Sacramento State (Sept. 27), SUU (Oct. 18), Cal Poly (Nov. 8) and Weber State (Nov. 22). The road conference games are at Eastern Washington (Oct. 4), Northern Colorado (Oct. 25), Portland State (Nov. 1) and Montana State (Nov. 15).

There is still one road nonconference game that will be announced at a later date.
