Hutchison Wins Las Vegas Half Marathon
The senior from Pocatello, Idaho won the event with a time of 1:19.34
LAS VEGAS – Idaho State senior distance runner Bradi Hutchison won the Zappos.com Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Half Marathon Sunday night. Hutchison finished the 13.1-mile run in a time 1:19.34 and bested the runner-up by just over a minute.
The event began in front of Mandalay Bay and ended in front of the Mirage. Proceeds from the event went to benefit the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America.
In her career at ISU, Hutchison has set school records in the 3000m (9:23.28) and 5000m (16:11.33). During the 2010-11 season, she finished first in the women's 5K at the Big Sky Indoor Track and Field Championships.
The ISU indoor track and field season gets underway Friday, Dec. 14 with the team’s annual inter-squad Tye Dye Meet. The first official meet, the Snake River Open, hosted by Idaho State will be held Friday, Jan. 11 and Saturday, Jan. 12 in Holt Arena.
