Sources have confirmed to KPVI Sports Director Matt Gittins that Rigby High School graduate and former BYU defensive lineman JonRyheem Peoples will transfer to Idaho State.  He will be eligible immeadiately to play for the Bengals.

ISU released the following statement courtesy of Assitant Athletic Director for Media Relations Steve Schaack, "Our official fall camp roster will be released the first day of practice on August 4th."

Peoples graduated from Rigby in 2013 and signed his National Letter of Intent with BYU.  During his time in high school he played nearly every position on the field on offense, defense and special teams.  he is scheduled to play defensive line for the Bengals.

He will bring immediate size to ISU. In his online profile at BYU he is listed at 6'4" and 339 pounds. That would make him one of the largest players on Idaho State.

JonRyheem was released from BYU last month.  He told the Salt Lake Tribune's Jay Drew that he had an agreement with Head Coach Bronco Mendenhall to trim down his weight and body fat as well as maintain a B average in his clasess. Because he fell short of those goals his scholarship was no longer in place.
