Tonight also marked the final home match for seniors Jaclyn Hone-Hawkins, Kimberly Naut and Breanne Van Every.
Hone-Hawkins led the Bengals in kills with 17, bringing her career kills total to 938 and recorded 11 digs for a career total of 1017. She also had four blocks, three assists and 20 points. She had a .364 attack percentage.
Van Every led in digs with 18 and followed Hone-Hawkins in kills with 15. Van Every led in attacks with 48. Alydia Fields had 12 kills for the night and led the team in blocks with six. She narrowly missed a double-double with seven digs.
Tressa Lyman recorded a double-double with 10 kills and 11 digs. Lori Mendenhall also recorded a double-double with a team-high 57 assists and 12 digs. She also recorded a block and four kills.
The Bengals narrowly edged out the Hornets in attack percentage .256 to .226. During the five sets, the score was tied 30 times and the lead changed nine times.
The Bengals head on the road to finish the season at Eastern Washington on Nov. 15 and Portland State on Nov. 17. Both games begin at 7 p.m.
