POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State volleyball team improved to 12-4 overall and 6-1 in Big Sky action with a 3-0 win over Weber State Wednesday night. The Bengals are also still unbeaten in Reed Gym this season.

“Overall, I thought we played well and in the first set, I thought we played extremely well,” ISU Head Coach Chad Teichert said. “Our ball control, serving, sets and defense in that set were just remarkable.”

Redshirt freshman Tressa Lyman led ISU with 10 kills during the evening as well as six digs and one block.

The Bengals were extremely aggressive at the net tonight as senior Kimberly Naut recorded five blocks and redshirt senior Jaclyn Hone-Hawkins and junior setter Lori Mendenhall each recorded four. Mendenhall also posted 32 assists in the contest.

“Jaclyn had a very good night offensively,” Teichert said. “Kimberly Naut started for us tonight and did a great job at the attack and the block.”

Senior outside hitter Breanne Van Every led ISU with 12 digs on the evening.

Overall, ISU out-blocked Weber State 10-8 and ISU recorded a .228 attack percentage to Weber State’s .124.
