Multi-Vehicle Accident in Caribou County Sends Four People to the Hospital

Police are investigating a multi-vehicle accident that happened just after 3:00 PM Sunday in Caribou County.

According to a report by the Idaho State Police, the accident happened on Highway 34, five miles south of Grace. A Ford van driven by 17-year-old Tyson Jenkins of Freedom, Wyoming, crossed into the southbound lane and stuck a vehicle being driven by 73-year-old Blaine Priestley from Bancroft. Jenkins' van then stuck a GMC pickup. The two people in that pickup were treated and released at the scene.

Tyson Jenkins was transported to Caribou Memorial Hospital in Soda Springs where he was treated and released. His passenger, 17-year-old Trent Jenkins, was transported by medical helicopter to Salt Lake City with serious injuries. Blaine Priestley was taken to Caribou Memorial Hospital and his passenger, 69-year-old Ruth Priestley was airlifted to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

The accident is under investigation.
