A weekend accident leaves three dead near the Wyoming border.
At approximately 4:18 PM on Sunday, Idaho State Police responded to U.S. 89 near Geneva for a one vehicle roll-over crash. 18-year-old Sarah Wilson of Montpelier, ID was traveling northbound when, for unknown reasons, her vehicle left the roadway on the right shoulder, came back onto the road and rolled, landing upside down.
Sarah and two passengers, 26-year-old Abigail Bond of South Carolina and a 10-year-old girl, were all ejected from the vehicle. All three were not wearing seatbelts. Two other passengers, a two-month-old girl and a six-year-old girl, were not ejected.
The driver, Sarah Wilson, Abigail Bond and the two-month-old girl, all died as a result of the crash. The 10-year-old girl was taken to Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake with serious injuries. The six-year-old girl had non-life threatening injuries. The crash is still under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
