The Southeastern District Health Department will be implementing plans for vaccinating residents of Fort Hall, Bannock, Bear Lake, Bingham, Butte, Caribou, Franklin, Oneida, and Power counties from the H1N1 flu through vaccination clinics and Points of Dispensing or PODS over the next few months.

H1N1 Flu Vaccination Clinics

Because initial supplies are limited, the first shipments of the H1N1 flu vaccine will be used to vaccinate people in the following priority groups:

  • Pregnant women.
  • Household contacts and caregivers for children younger than 6 months of age.
  • Healthcare and emergency medical services personnel.
  • All people from 6 months to 24 years of age.
  • Persons aged 25 through 64 who have health conditions associated with higher risk of medical complications from the flu.

The public should be aware that there may be wait times at the vaccination clinic sites and they are first come, first served.  To decrease the wait times at the clinics, please download and fill out the consent forms before going to the vaccination site.  There is one form for children and one form for adults.  The forms are located at www.sdhdidaho.org.  Click on "H1N1 Vaccination Clinics."  The forms are located at the bottom of the page.  Please note:  children 13 years of age and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at vaccination clinics.
