The Southeastern District Health Department held another one of their mass vaccination clinics for the H1N1 virus to yet another overwhelming response.
Volunteers were preparing for yet another busy day. This was the first H1N1 vaccination clinic in Blackfoot, the 3rd in Bingham county and like all the previous clinics, this one had a huge turn-out.
Craig Rowland, Bingham County Emergency Services: "When I got here at 9:15 - 9:30 there was 45 people waiting outside that had been waiting since about 7:00 in the morning."
By 10:30 a.m. volunteers had already handed out over 300 tickets for the vaccine.
The first in line, Debbie May says it's important for her to get the vaccination for a number of reasons; from her career as a teacher to her underlying health problems.
Debbie May: "Because I'm exposed to so many students that have already had the flu, or will have come down with the flu. I didn't want to get it."
Others have their own reason for waiting in line.
Pat Baker: "We're at the age where it's just better to be safe."
"I have two little granddaughters that are around us constantly."
For this clinic 1,600 doses of the vaccine are available and officials with the health department expect them to go fast.
The Southeastern District Health Department now says there are no more doses left.
