Pocatello Police have surrounded the Lincoln Early Childhood Center in a similar move that happened Monday at Pocatello High School.

School District 25 has put the school at 330 Oakwood Drive on lockdown. Superintendent Mary Vagner is there assessing the situation. Our crew on the scene has seen at least seven police cars and a dozen officers.

Police say this is related the lockdown Monday at Pocatello High School. The high school was put on lockdown after a man named Tomas Arellano made a threat against a student at the school. Police say Arellano made a phone threat against a child who attends Lincoln Early Childhood Center. That attends the morning session of school and is already safe at home. Police will stay at the school as a precaution for the rest of the day.

Morning students are being checked out by parents. The school will remain on lockdown the rest of the day as a precaution. Police say there is no imminent threat.

The Lincoln Early Childhood center is an early intervention school for children who may be developmentally delayed.
