Dozens of employers gathered for a special seminar at the Department of Labor office in Pocatello. The seminar was designed to talk to employers about how to manage their unemployment insurance with tax increases on the horizon.
The three-hour seminar also taught employers about how to use the internet to manage claims.
Workers at the Department of Labor say understanding how to manage unemployment claims can help employers avoid a big headache.
Jill Kleist, Department of Labor: "A lot of times when you don't know what you can do to help improve it, you don't do anything and you just think you've maybe been attacked or things are being charged to you that aren't fair. When you learn about what you can do, it really helps."
This was the first seminar of its kind, but Kleist said if there is enough interest there could be more.
