The kick-off for the “Duck Race” in Idaho Falls has officially begun.

This is the 22nd year of the “Duck Race.”

The grand prize was unloaded in front of the Red Lion in Idaho Falls, this year the grand prize is a red Ford 2012 F150.

It’s worth $41,000 and was donated by Broadway Ford.

All the proceeds from the “Duck Race” will go towards improvements and expansion of the Green Belt.

Tickets for the chance to win the “Duck Truck” will be five-dollars each.

“We’ve always given away a vehicle butt we’ve never had a vehicle the value of this one so you know I told our Rotarians today, I said boy if we can’t sell duck adoption tickets for this truck we might as well give it up because it’s by far the biggest and most valuable prize we’ve ever had” said Rotary Club President Lane Allgood.

The duck race this year will be on Saturday August 13th.
