The Idaho Falls Police Department shared a post describing a special gift that was handed out to them during the 4th of July parade. As they patrolled the parade route, a family handed homemade keychains, with a note, out to all the officers. The note reads that the keychains are in recognition of their service to the community. It says to attach the keychain to their car keys to remind them that they are loved and appreciated. IFPD said in the post that this gesture won't soon be forgotten.

The Pocatello Police and Fire Departments thanked their dispatchers with a special barbecue. The Pocatello Police Emergency Communication Center recently received the Accredited Center of Excellence award from the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch. It is the first center in Idaho to get the award. As a "thank you" for all that dispatchers do, officers and firefighters cooked up food to celebrate and show their appreciation.
