Museum Birthday Party

December 7, 2019

Activities all day

Come join us on December 7th to celebrate your Idaho Museum of Natural History's 85th year revealing the wonder of nature in Idaho.

We have a full day of free programs including:

- From 9 a.m. to Noon we will be creating ornaments from natural materials. We'll help you make Rudolph from pinecones, pine cone bird feeders, and stick snowflakes. This is a family friendly event in our Discovery room.

- At 10 a.m. join us for a ribbon-cutting to our newly renovated STEM Center. The center will be a place for the community to create, design, and build with robotics, 3D printing and more.

- At 7 p.m. we are hosting a Dungeons & Dragons night. This will be a free event for adults (18+). Registration is required due to limited space. No experience necessary. You are welcome to bring your own D&D supplies. We will provide randomly generated 5e character sheets (5th Level) and dice. Refreshments will be provided for your enjoyment. https://forms.gle/BaeG1S4BAbNR8rie6

The gallery will be open with half-off admission. Come see the "Buzzsaw Sharks of Idaho" exhibition before it swims away in January!

The Museum Gift Shop will be offering 10% off your total purchase. A chance to get some unique, natural history gifts this holiday season. Or does that special someone enjoy experiences more? We have the perfect gift for them: a Museum Membership. Memberships last a full year, and includes free admission, discounts, special invites, and free or reduced admission to dozens of participating ASTC centers across the country.

Parking is free on Saturdays.
