Rene Dreiling

The body of a missing Grand Teton Lodge employee has been found, after he was last seen on August 31 along the northwest shore of Jenny Lake.

Grand Teton National Park Rangers found the body that matches the description of 21-year-old Rene Dreiling on Sunday evening.

The body was found during an aerial reconnaissance flight. Rangers are attempting to recover the body on Monday if weather conditions allow.

Dreiling was a summer employee of Grand Teton Lodge Company and was reported missing on Friday, September 2 when he did not show up for this scheduled work shift.

Dreiling had discussed plans to climb Table Mountain and several peaks in Hanging Canyon.

Park rangers encourage all hikers and climbers to share their planned route of travel and an expected return time with someone prior to departure.
