The Ammon City Council has an open seat after Councilmember Byron Wiscome resigned on Thursday.

Wiscombe served eight years on the city council and was re-elected to another term that was to begin in January after running unopposed in the November election. According to a news release, Mayor Sean Coletti will have to appoint an Ammon resident to fill the vacated seat for a two-year term rather than a four-year term. Applications can be sent to scoletti -at- cityofammon -dot- us or your can mail an applicated to 2135 South Ammon Road until December 31 at 11:59 p.m.
