Dozens of people met at Ross Park Aquatic Center earlier Thursday morning to run before indulging in their Thanksgiving meals. This 5K Turkey Trot started at Ross Park Aquatic Center and followed the traditional City Fun Run course.

Andrea Henderson, the Turkey Trot coordinator, who says that she was excited about the turn-out and was excited for friends getting together before celebrating the holiday with their families. She also says the turnout was beyond what she expected.

“I just invited a few friends in our running group,” says Henderson, “and then it kind of grew from there so I am very excited about this turnout. It is pretty fun.”
