Bonneville County Sheriff's Debuty's Vehicle

The Bonneville County Sheriffs Office is reminding motorists to be extra careful and slow down during winter driving conditions after a deputy was hit early Tuesday morning between Idaho Falls and Ririe.

The deputy was already on scene of a one-vehicle, non-injury rollover.

The deputy was in his patrol vehicle finishing paperwork while a tow truck was working to remove the over-turned car when the patrol vehicle was hit by a pickup truck.

The driver of the pick-up was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. The deputy was sent to the hospital as a precaution.

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office reminds motorists to be extra careful and slow down during winter driving conditions. Especially in areas where emergency personnel and tow trucks have flashing emergency lights in a crash scene.
