UPDATE: Lori Vallow Daybell appeared in court just before 5:00 p.m. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for August 10 and 11. Bail remains at $1 million.
On June 29, additional charges were filed against Lori Vallow Daybell. She is now facing two felony counts of conspiracy to commit destruction, alteration or concealment of evidence. The same charges Chad Daybell is also facing.
On June 30, the court released the amended criminal complaint against Lori hours before she will appear in court (remotely).
The punishment for each charge is up to five years imprisonment and/or up to a $10,000 fine.
Count I of the complaint alleges:
The Defendants, Chad Guy Daybell, Lori Vallow, and/or another person or persons, on or between the 22nd day of September, 2019, and the 9th day of June, 2020, in the County of Fremont, State of Idaho, and elsewhere, did willfully and knowingly combine, conspire, confederate, and agree to commit Destruction, Alteration, or Concealment of Evidence in felony proceeding, inquiry and/or investigation authorized by law, with the intent to prevent it from being so produced, used and/or discovered, to wit: the human remains of JJ Vallow, which is in violation of Idaho Code Sections 18-2603 and 18-1701.
Count II alleges the same with the only difference being Tylee Ryan instead of JJ Vallow.
The complaint lists multiple dates in which Lori and Chad allegedly mislead police efforts to find the two missing children.
